Here is the statistic for March 2012 car sales figure taken from cbt.com.my. According to the article, the March sales rose 25% compare to February but it still 15% lower than the previous year. The rise could be easily due to shorter working days on February but lower figure compare to last year might due to tightened hire purchase loan imposed by BNM. Perodua still leads Proton on national segment with Myvi still its best selling. Proton also doing well with Saga on 2nd place.
The non national segment still lead by Toyota with Vios is best selling model followed by Hilux. Honda which its plant at Pegoh Melaka freezed operation until last month had resumed operation with 100% capacity but with limited varian order.
