Competition of small yet fuel efficient segment sedan become hotter day to day as Japanese car maker, Mitsubishi Motor Corporation announced sedan version of its fuel efficient small mini car Mirage called Attrage. From the rendering we could see its styling is acceptable with change of headlamp design give the car small but serious in look. Mitsubishi had previously previewed the concept car called G4 concept in this year Bangkok Motor Show and later in Shanghai motor show.
The car will carry exactly the same power train that powers Mirage, an efficient 1.2 liter MIVEC petrol engine paired to either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT, which offers a combined fuel economy of 22km/L, equal to 51.7mpg US, 4.5L/100km and 62.1mpg UK. So far no news from Mitsubishi Motor Malaysia regarding this model introduction in Malaysia but if they bring it in, we believe it can be one of the best seller since it has better styling than current Mirage and its fuel efficiency appeal. The production of this model begin on July this year so we predict this model will be introduced here at year end.
